SDF 9-15

Over on the Patreon we've got a new page of Pulp Horrorshow vol. 4/Mad Fox:  http://www.patreon.com/creation?hid=1139824

And now for today's webcomic:

SDF 9/Bad Rapture 4/Page 15.

TORCTOBER wraps up on something of a sad note as we bid farewell to Killboy, who has now been exploded beyond all hope of being patched up.  Of all the members of the Community Watch Group, Killboy was the one I never really got a good handle on.  He was hard to draw, and there wasn't much to his character beyond the fact that he was rude and loved a good fight.  Still, it's sad to see him go.  Still, still, I think he got a pretty good death, so there's that.

Geeks Left Standing to Protect Cheryl:  Tei Harlequin, Pengy Penguin, Priest Shiki, Scout the Angel, Octopus Jones.  Jeeeeeez, we had a much bigger cast when we started.

SDF 9-14

Today's Webcomic:

SDF 9/Bad Rapture 4/Page 14.

I think Boolah and I both knew that when the Puzzelor died (is he dead?  Who knows with the Puzzelor...), he would shatter into a cascade of puzzle pieces.  So we were on the same page from the get-go on that one.

Things are looking pretty bad for our heroes.  We've really got virtually nobody left.  Wait!  There's still hope!  The charred and roasted body of Killboy is still alive somehow!  Surely he can save the day!

SDF 9-13

Today's Webcomic:

SDF 9/Bad Rapture 4/Page 13.

This page was all Boolah's Design/Idea.  It's pretty darn cool.  I think Boolah's thumbnail version had more puzzle pieces and the Puzzelor did a lot more cool flips and stuff, but all the extra pieces didn't fit on the page so great, so I added the two bits where the Puzzelor dodges Fireballs Mario-style.  Boolah's version also had Puzzelor executing a Shoulder Tackle on Romiel in Puzzle Piece 2, but I went with a Jump Kick because I couldn't really figure out the logistics on how to draw a person who always has his hands in his pockets shoulder tackling someone.  The point I'm trying to make is that Boolah designed a really cool page.

SDF 9-12

Over on the Patreon at www.patreon.com/torcpress we've been uploading some of our "Lost" comics from times past.  "SDF: Cyclopean" is an issue of the original run of SDF that was completed but never made it into print cause I'm a weirdo.  I've been posting it on the Patreon as a bonus for anyone pledging a buck or more.  It's weird for me to reread the book, because I haven't done "Street Level" in awhile.  It's also been a long time since Pengy Penguin was completely powerless, so rereading a story where he is just feels weird to me.

Anyway, here's today's webcomic:

SDF 9/Bad Rapture 4/Page 12.

So, Spookshow is already dead, so you can't really call this his Death Scene.  But he is a Ghost, and he just got Exorcised/Banished to Purgatory Forever and Ever, so that's close enough.  Regardless, another Geek Hero is gone, and hope continues to dwindle.

Bummer, man.

SDF 9-11

As TORCTOBER winds down, we've got some new stuff over in the Patreon site at:  www.patreon.com/torcpress.

A new page of "Hot Fudge Pulp" is up, featuring a Flashback to the Final Battle at Ortex Tower where the Original Skull Mob fell.  Dark times!

A new page of "Clown & Penguin" 0 is also up, featuring a confrontation between a weakened Clown and the Lord of the Ortex Corporation, the Deathbringer.

And don't forget, pledging $5 a month on Patreon is essentially like getting a subscription to my new, 8 page B&W series, "The Hot Fudge Sundae Adventure Club Adventure Comix".  So there's that.

And now for today's completely free webcomic:

SDF 9/Bad Rapture 4/Page 11.

You had to know given Killboy's aggressive attitude and big mouth that sooner or later something like this was gonna happen to him, right?  Still, ouch.

More TORCTOBER Fun!

It's been a good couple of days.  I mean, work at the Sawmill was a Beast this week, but, y'know, that's how it goes.  Anyway, some cool stuff has happened, so I'm feeling pretty cool.  And it's a good time to feel cool, cause it's TORCTOBER, the coolest month of the Year!

In honor of TORCTOBER and the 15 Year Anniversary of TORC Press, I've started up a brand new series called "The Hot Fudge Sundae Adventure Club Adventure Comix".  That's the name of the book.  Take a moment.  Really enjoy that title.

That's a darn fine title.

Anyway, HFSACAC is a quick little 8 page Black & White Book, but it's got a color cover.  Speaking of which, here's the aforementioned cover:

Pretty neat, right?  And because I'm in a good mood tonight, here's the first page:

The book features completely redesigned/re-envisioned versions of Jester Kidd (who debuted last year in Pulp Horrorshow volume 4) and the Cosmic Fool (who we haven't seen since... jeez, the Cosmic Norseman crossover I did with Clint?  Wow, that's been awhile).  They fight a monster.  It's totally cool.

Anyway, this book ain't gonna be available in the Online Store, which ain't that big a deal cause only two guys use that stupid thing anyway.  Instead, there's three ways you can score this Short Little Bad Boy:

1) If you've been a Long Time Supporter of TORC Press, and I've got your Address, then I've already sent you out a free copy.  I appreciate all the support I've gotten over the years, and this is just a little Thank you.

2) I'll have copies for Sale for at least the next few Conventions I'm at.  So I'll have some at Comic Quest's Halloweenfest tomorrow for sure.

3) Although this issue is part of the TORCTOBER Celebration, it's also the start of the $5 Reward on Patreon.  So, if you're not a long-time supporter of TORC Press, or you're not gonna see me on the Convention Circuit, you can still get this comic mailed straight to you by Pledging a Lincoln (my state's hero) to the TORC Press Cause.  Future issues of "The Hot Fudge Sundae Adventure Club Adventure Comix" will only be available either on the Con Circuit or by pledging $5 or more on Patreon, so there's that.  November's Issue #2 features Mister Halloween (whose origin we're currently detailing on the Patreon) and the debut of a brand new character.

SDF 9-10

First off, I'll be at the Best Darn Comic Shop on the Planet, Comic Quest in Evansville, IN, tomorrow, selling my comics and doing my thing and hangin' with the CQCA Crew.  I'm not sure how long I'll be there, but I'll definitely be there from 10am until 2pm, so if you're in the area stop by and say Hi and maybe pick up a book or two.  Why not?

Second off, there's a brand new "Mad Fox" page of Pulp Horrorshow up over on the Patreon (we're up to 2 Patrons!  Wooooo!!!).  Check out Mad Fox's team showing off their Mad Skills at:  http://www.patreon.com/creation?hid=1118552.

Third off, here's today's webcomic:

SDF 9/Bad Rapture 4/Page 10.

In the midst of all the fighting and carnage and death, I feel it's important that we check in with the Med Tent every so often, because to me, the story of Bad Rapture is really the story of Octopus Jones (aka Jonar Lloz) and Cheryl.  Even if they haven't gotten a lotta screen time.  (Hey, a guy can only have so many panels of Doc Brummer yelling PUSH!)  Anyway, despite all they've been through, this is the first time that these two have openly admitted their feelings for each other.  Better late than never I always say.

SDF 9-9

Today's Webcomic:

SDF 9/Bad Rapture 4/Page 9.

With this page, you've got the first instance of someone attacking the forcefield, to so-so effect.  Not sure how strong my storytelling is on this one.  Anyway, the main thing I like about this page is that Killboy finally has his Moment in the Sun.  Killboy's actually been around for several years now, but he's never really had that MOMENT, which kinda sucks, because I try to give every character at least one little moment where they just own it, y'know?  So this is Killboy's Moment, where he actually lives up to his name and splits an Angel in half.  Yay for him.

SDF 9-8

Today's Webcomic:

SDF 9/Bad Rapture 4/Page 8.

This was a crazy page to draw.  Boolah came up with that crazy tree jump bit on Panel 3, which I am a big fan of (my favorite bit is from the Thumbnails where Boolah wrote "ENVIRONMENT!" by the tree).  I changed the angle a little so there wasn't any confusion as to why Beauty's energy blast didn't blow up the tree.

The other tricky part about this page was the bottom row of Panels.  This, again, was a killer sequence, but it was kinda tricky.  The move the Puzzelor pulls off in this sequence is called a Hurricanrana (more popularly known as the Frankenstiener back in the 80s), which is one of my all time favorite Pro Wrestling moves, but is really, really hard to portray in comic book form.  I think it works though.  The third panel is also a little dicey (which is totally my bad) because Beauty is mostly Yellow and Killboy's Claws are Yellow, so they kinda blend into each other.  I like to keep my palette kinda simple and straight-forward, so that happens to me from time to time (Bro used to notice that when I first started using Color on my covers I always had at least one character whose body was the same color as the background, causing them to vanish).

SDF 9-7

In case you missed it yesterday, Issue 23 of The Hot Fudge Sundae Adventure Club is Available for Sale in the Online Store at http://www.torcpress.com/store/.  It's a cool book and buying a copy is a great way to celebrate TORCTOBER!  Ugh, that was cheezy.

Anyway, here's today's webcomic:

SDF 9/Bad Rapture 4/Page 7.

Again, today's very cool page layout is courtesy of Boolah.  The trickiest part of working with a character like Hunter is that she has no visible face, making it difficult to show that she's been knocked loopy by the Vertionce's headbutt.  Still, looking at it this morning, I think the page works out okay.  In Boolah's notes he kept mentioning having the Vertionce looking like he was either trying to strangle or asphyxiate Hunter, but, again, without an actual Mouth or Neck that was a difficult thing to accomplish.  I think I kinda pulled off the desired effect though.  I think.

The moral of the story is that my bizarre sense of character design can bite me in the butt sometimes.

The Hot Fudge Sundae Adventure Club #23 Now Available!

It's TORCTOBER, so why not put out a new comic, right?  "The Hot Fudge Sundae Adventure Club" #23 is now available for Sale in the Online Store at http://www.torcpress.com/store/.  It's a book I'm really happy with, and is a great piece of the overarching Bad Rapture puzzle.

Here's the Cover:

The story has already been posted for Free here online on the Blog, but buying a copy is a great way to show your support for TORC Press, and you get a great comic to add to your collection, so it's a win-win.

Anyway, the story involves the Clown, Tea Cup, PlatOmega, the Chupacabra, and the Mystery Man facing off with the evil Vertionce on the Moon.  It's pretty much nonstop action.  The book is 24 pages for $4 plus $1.50 S&H.  You can pick it up in the Online Store, which I've Linked to above.

Thanks!

SDF 9-6

First off, thanks to everyone that came out and supported TORC Press at Shocktobercon!  We had a good show, and as always, we appreciate people coming out and giving us a shot.  Thanks!

TORCTOBER continues this weekend at the Best Darn Comic Shop on the Planet, Comic Quest, in Evansville, IN for their annual Halloweenfest Event.  Come out to the shop, meet some cool comic creators, and, um, do other stuff.  I'm not really sure what all they have planned.

Over on the Patreon site at www.patreon.com/torcpress we've got a couple of new comic pages for Patreon subscribers:

Hot Fudge Pulp Page 7:  I do one of those increasingly rare for me, Brian Michael Bendis style pages where everyone sits around a conference table and yammers at each other.  It's actually a Flashback to the last days of the Original Skull Mob, shortly before the Infamous Battle of Ortex Tower.  Besides featuring old school Halloween M@n, there's cameos by the original El Exclamation Point!, King Dark, Cosmico Rex (who only had a couple of appearances before he died), Johm Smythe (who only appeared in, like, 2 stories, I think), and Akuma Boy just before he turned traitor.  It's a cool page from a historical viewpoint, although it's really just a buncha people sitting around talking.

Clown & Penguin Zer0 Page 8:  Now that I have the introductory pages out of the way, this comic is actually my 24 Hour Comic from a few years ago that I never published.  It's basically Cactus Joe the Clown vs. the Deathbringer.

Anyway, on to today's page:

SDF 9/Bad Rapture 4/Page 6.

Jeez, where to start.

First off, I wanna remind everyone that I have a writing partner on this series, Scott "Boolah" Bayler.  Not only has been taking my incoherent ramblings and turning out some really cool scripts with them, but he's also been doing the Thumbnails/Layouts for all the comics.  So that cool panel in the middle is all Boolah.  I think my only contribution is the various poses the Puzzelor ends up in.

Also, it's interesting that Boolah remembered that Killboy can stretch his arms out like that in Panel 4.  I forgot he had that ability.

Other than that, any time I can draw someone Jump Kicking someone else, I am a happy man.

SDF 9-5

Once again, we'll be celebrating TORCTOBER at Shocktobercon this weekend in Evansville, IN.  Details at:  https://www.facebook.com/ShocktoberCon

Over on the Patreon site, a brand new page of Pulp Horrorshow is up, where BoJangles changes his name to Mad Fox because, y'know, why not: http://www.patreon.com/creation?hid=1092010.

Now for today's webcomic:

SDF 9/Bad Rapture 4/Page 5.

The fight is on like Donkey Kong.  It's interesting that Hunter is the first warrior to actually hold her own against the Vertionce (HFSAC had the advantage that the Vertionce was frozen solid back in HFSAC 23...).  Hunter is much stronger than Estiel was, and isn't blinded by emotion, so maybe she's got a fighting chance.  Maybe.

SDF 9-4

Today's webcomic:

SDF 9/Bad Rapture 4/Page 4.

It's almost fighting time again.

Wednesday, October 15, 2014

SDF 9-3

Today's webcomic:

SDF 9/Bad Rapture 4/ Page 3.

After having absolutely no room in the barreling narrative to check in on the Med Tent and the Horrible Miracle of Birth last issue, this issue we don't have as many characters left alive, so we've got a little space to pop in and see how things are going with Cheryl, Octopus Jones, and Doc Brummer.  Unfortunately, things are not going well.  Which is pretty much par for the course with this crossover.

SDF 9-2

TORC Press will be doing our thing at the Shocktober Con in Evansville, IN this Saturday.  Details at:  https://www.facebook.com/ShocktoberCon.  Come celebrate TORCTOBER with us this weekend!

I've added a couple of new pages that are exclusive to Patreon subscribers:

SDF: Cyclopean #1 Page 12:  It's weird rereading this "lost" comic.  The Clown's personality is a lot more cynical and bitter than it is now.  It's just strange for me to read.  Anyway, the Clown and Voodoo Dolly (before things went bad) gear up for action.

Clown & Penguin 0 Page 7:  The Clown and Penguin get ready to face off with the Big Evil in the TORCverse, the dreaded DEATHBRINGER!

And now for today's webcomic:

SDF 9/Bad Rapture Chapter 4/ Page 2.

The explosion that the last line of defense sees in Panel 1 is the Explosion created by the Vertionce's Impact after launching himself from the Moon back in Skull Mob 5.  In other words, things are about to get bad, real fast.

Interesting side note:  In my original plans for Bad Rapture, I was going to have HFSAC 23, Skull Mob 5, and SDF 9 all running at the same time.  The story would have woven in and out between the three books.  Unfortunately, the logistics alone were enough to make a guy's head explode, so I dropped the idea and decided to have each book as a separate chapter.

SDF 9-1

This morning over on the Patreon site at www.patreon.com/torcpress we have added a new page of "Hot Fudge Pulp" featuring the origin of Mr. Halloween (previously Halloween M@n).  Today's page is a flashback to the Olden Days of TORC Press and takes place in Mosquito Village during a simpler time when Ortex didn't quite own the whole world.  The page features guest appearances by Classic TORC Press characters Candy Cane and Doom Harvest and is only available for viewing if you're a $1 Subscriber.  Again, Patreon is a great way to show your support for Small Press Comix, so support the cause this TORCTOBER.  Woo!

Anyway, it's time to start SDF:

SDF #9/Bad Rapture Chapter 4 Page 1.

And we begin a new comic and a new Chapter of Bad Rapture.  You will note the art is different, as I have now transitioned to my SDF-Marker Style, which, incidentally, is my Writing Partner Boolah's favorite style. Speaking of Boolah, it was his idea to have an advanced squad of Angels attack the Forcefield early.  In my original vision, the last line of defense just sat around and hung out until the Vertionce showed up, so Boolah's idea is waaaaaay better.

In case you've lost track, the big grey robot/armor thing in the middle is one of the Three (well, Two now that Estiel is Dead) Good Angels, namely Hunter.  The guy with the big red hair is Killboy.  The green hooded ghost is Spookshow.  And the crouching Masked Man is the Puzzelor.  Can these four makeshift heroes hold their ground against the Vertionce?

Pulp Horrorshow v4-19

Not a lot to report this morning, but I do have a brand new page of my third Pulp Horrorshow strip up on the Patreon site at:  http://www.patreon.com/creation?hid=1066914.  Three brand new characters are introduced, and this strip is open to the public, so check it out if you want.

Other than that, I'm in Zombie Mode this morning.  Appropriate, given which month it is.

TORCTOBER Shows

I keep forgetting to mention this, but I've got a couple of shows coming up to wrap up TORCTOBER and my Comix Year in general.

I will be at the Shocktober Con in Evansville, IN on October 18th.  I'll be sharing a table with my good buddy Clint Bassinger of Cosmic Moustache.  Details are at:  https://www.facebook.com/ShocktoberCon.

One week later I'll be at the Best Darn Comic Shop on the Planet, Comic Quest in Evansville, IN, for their annual Halloweenfest event.  It's kinda like Free Comic Book Day, just a lot more laid back.  Anyway, I'll be promoting TORC Press and doing my thing there as well.  Details on Comic Quest can be found at:  http://comicquest.com/.  It's a great store, so if you're in the area, stop by, say hi, and score some TORC Press comix, why not?

Other than that, I am currently working on my 8 Page October Special, which, again, I will be sending out free to some people.  Otherwise, I'll have copies at Shocktobercon and Halloweenfest (I hope).  Otherwise, otherwise, the only way to get a copy is enroll in the $5 Subscription from TORC Press on Patreon at:  www.patreon.com/torcpress.  I know, cheap plug, but hey, I'm trying to make a little scratch here so I'm not paying for everything out of pocket, y'know?  Anyway, it's gonna very a cool, fun, fast-paced book, and I think the art looks really good.

Wednesday, October 8, 2014

Skull Mob 5-24

Before we get started, let's see what's up on www.patreon.com/torcpress this morning.  We've added another page of HFSAC 23/Bad Rapture 2, as well as the page of Pulp Horrorshow where Big Wulf shows off his Giant Metal Arm of Doom, and in the Patreon exclusive "Lost" comic "Clown & Penguin #0", we get a rare and sudden appearance by the #1 Bad Guy in the TORCverse, the CEO of the Ortex Corporation, THE DEATHBRINGER!

Meanwhile, here in blogland, we've got today's webcomic:

Skull Mob 5/Bad Rapture 3/Page 24.

This is the concluding page of the issue.  SDF 9 will start next week, because I need to wrap this crossover up before the end of the year, so no more breaks.  I hope.

Anyway, I think it was Boolah's idea to have the final panel of Skull Mob 5 echo the final panel of HFSAC 23.  On an earlier page I showed what happened to just about everybody else in the Geek Army, except for Death Moth, Doom Eagle, Secret Soldier, and King Dark, so on this page I wanted to show the condition those guys were in after the Vertionce's Atomic Impact.  Secret Soldier isn't dead, just very, very, very unconscious.  King Dark looks melty because he's made of living darkness, and the impact caused his body to lose some of its coherency.  Doom Eagle is somehow still conscious, but his cyborg body parts (turns out his left arm and both legs were bionic) have been shredded.  Death Moth's War Homunculii body survived the impact, and the only reason he's still conscious and was only momentarily stunned is because his shield absorbed most of the impact.  So there you go.

See you on Monday as we start SDF 9/Bad Rapture 4.

Tuesday, October 7, 2014

Skull Mob 5-23

Hey, it's a strip on a Tuesday.  Who knew?

Skull Mob #5/Bad Rapture 3/Page 23.

And so Estiel dies.  She had a bigger part in the early "Head" Drafts of the book, but with the multitude of characters and the speed of the action she kinda got left by the wayside.  Ce la vie.

Skull Mob 5 wraps up tomorrow, then SDF 9 starts on Monday.

Monday, October 6, 2014

Skull Mob 5-22

As TORCTOBER rolls on, we've got the origin of Classic TORC Press character Halloween M@n (recently renamed Mister Halloween) being slowly rolled out on the Patreon site at www.patreon.com/torcpress, with today's page featuring the origin of Halloween M@n's Pumpkin-headed look.  It's a cool little page.  We should be adding another page tonight, time permitting.

Anyway, here's today's webcomic:

Skull Mob 5/Bad Rapture 3/Page 22.

I knew Sally Mander was dying this issue, along with Razorfish.  My plan was to have them die in the middle of the massive melee, but that didn't time out right.  So their deaths got pushed back to these pages.  Originally, I was going to have Sally die from shrapnel and Razorfish die trying to avenge her, but Boolah suggested we reverse it, which I immediately was like, Yeah, that makes much more sense.  I changed up the scene a little, adding the part where Razorfish throws himself on top of Sally to protect her from the Vertionce's explosion, killing himself in the process.  Then Boolah wrote a really nice bit of dialogue on the previous page where a grieving Sally holds a dead Razorfish in her arms and talks of regret and unspoken feelings, which I forgot to add because I'm still getting used to this razzinfrazzin digital lettering (don't worry, the dialogue is restored in the print version).  In Boolah's script, Sally is then simply and unceremoniously decapitated on this page by the Vertionce.  Which is a great idea, because it continues to drive home what a horrible, unfeeling monster the Vertionce is, to violently strike down a grieving, defenseless woman.  Unfortunately, I didn't think it jived with the Vertionce's character.  To me, the Vertionce wouldn't waste his time on something like that, especially after he's already been dragged, literally, to the Moon and back.  So I added the panel on the previous page where Sally attacks the Vertionce, and then the panel on this page where he nonchalantly executes her in pretty much the same manner as he did El Exclamation Point 2!  (In my mind he wouldn't waste swinging his sword on so minor an enemy).  I also added the panel where Sally's dead body lands on top of Razorfish's dead body as a way of (sorta kinda) reuniting them in death.

Man, we're just killin' people left and right, aren't we?  Yeesh.

BoJangles and Pulp Horrorshow v.4

About a year ago I started work on a comic called Pulp Horrorshow volume 4.  For those of you who don't know, my very first comic was Pulp Horrorshow volume 1 #1, so last year I decided to do a new volume of Pulp Horrorshow to celebrate my original creation.  The plan was to put up new pages on Sundays, and like the original Pulp Horrorshow, the comic would be in the anthology format, so there would be a couple of stories per issue.  Initially there was a strip called "Big Wulf", which was a redesign/overhaul of my old character Kanabub Abul, and a back up strip featuring a new character named "Jester Kidd".  Big Wulf was street level, Jester Kidd was a cosmic comic.  The Big Wulf strip reached its conclusion, but I got bogged down in craziness at some point, and I never finished the Jester Kidd strip.  At first, I thought I was just going to abandon the project entirely, and just pretend none of it ever happened.  But recently I've started getting some ideas for the post-Bad Rapture work, and I want Big Wulf and Jester Kidd in play for those ideas.  With the advent of my Patreon site, I figured now was as good a time as any to resurrect Pulp Horrorshow v.4 and complete it.  So, I'm rereleasing both strips on Patreon.  I'm giving the Big Wulf story a different final page, and I'm finishing the Jester Kidd story.  In addition, I've added a third strip to the mix called "BoJangles" which a redesign/overhaul of another old TORC Press character, BoJangles.  Anyway, all of that stuff is up for viewing for free on the Patreon site, and specifically, today's BoJangles page can be found at:  http://www.patreon.com/creation?hid=1043859.  So there you go.

TORCTOBER: 15 Years of TORC Press

Heh.  Torctober.  That one just came to me yesterday.

Anyway, as mentioned yesterday, this month marks the 15 Year Anniversary of TORC Press.  15 years of Action Clowns, Dancing Penguins, Death Rays, Monsters, Robots, Women with Weird Hairstyles, Giant SpaceGods from Beyond the Boundaries of Our Dimensional Awareness, and Tacos, Tacos, TACOS!  It's been a good run, full of ups and downs, good moments and bad.  I've had people tell me I'm awesome, and people tell me I suck.  I've created hundreds of characters, and before I'm done I'll probably create hundreds more.  I've published 117 comics, and before I'm done I plan on publishing hundreds more.  I'm currently in the middle of what is, to my knowledge, the first and only Small Press, Single Publisher, Multi-book Comic Book Crossover created by 2 People in the History of the World (a fact that I think is pretty cool, but no one else seems to get the significance).  Long story short, It was the Best of Times, It was the Worst of Times, and through it all I just keep doing my thing, put pen to paper to make more comix.

Anyway, anyway, as the biggest part of our TORCTOBER celebration, before the end of the month I will be creating (actually halfway finished with) an 8 page, black & white comic tentatively titled "The Hot Fudge Sundae Adventure Club Adventure Comix" #1 (and you thought the name couldn't get any more ridiculous).  It features the re-debut of Jester Kidd, a character introduced in last year's uncompleted Pulp Horrorshow v.4, and a complete and total remake and redesign of the classic TORC Press character, the Cosmic Fool.  It's a fun little comic about what any TORC Press comic should be about, namely, Fighting Monsters and Eating Tacos.  When the comic is finished, I'll be sending out copies to my friends and family like I typically do.  In addition, I'll be sending out free copies of the comic to the handful of people who have stuck with and supported TORC Press over the years (presuming I have their address... if you're a loyal fan of TORC Press, and you've ordered some of our comics online from time to time, but you're not sure I've got your proper address, please make sure to email me with your current mailing address!).  This is just my little way of saying thank you to those that have made this crazy journey worthwhile.

If you don't fall into the Friends/Family/Longtime Supporter Category, the only ways to score this new 8 Page Comic are to either track me down at a Convention and score one in person (always nice), or, better yet, the new book will be the first reward as part of the $5 Pledge on TORC Press's Patreon Page.  As mentioned on Patreon, every two or three months I'll be producing little 8 page books like this, and the only way to get them is to do the $5 Subscription Option on Patreon.  Show your support of TORC Press AND get a cool comic about Monster Fightin'.  It's a Win/Win.  And yes, I will end this paragraph shamelessly adding my Patreon address:  www.patreon.com/torcpress.

Anyway, anyway, anyway, I would like to take a moment to thank everyone who has supported TORC Press over the years, including my biggest supporter, my Brother Ryan, my girlfriend Mei, Bro's wife Mary (who has been very vocally supportive of Bad Rapture, which is very cool), my new writing partner and longtime friend Scott "Boolah" Bayler, my table partner and occasional artist partner Clint Bassinger, my cousins Rachel and Katie who have given me a place to stay when I'm promoting the book down Nashville way, the Straw Man himself, Dave Branstetter, my buddy Brian Shaffer who originally created my website for me, Steven Hager and Bruce Rosenberg of the Dutchy Digest (see you guys at SPACE!), Quake's Mark Griffin (see you in November!), Tom Parry (man I have no idea when I'll see you, but I hope I'm at a show you're at sometime in the next couple of years), the great gang down at the Comic Quest Creator's Alliance (Tim, T&J, Josh (so glad you're doing better!), John, and all the rest of those cool guys), Heath Dehart (my only Patreon supporter.  Thanks man!!!!) and anyone else who has supported TORC Press over the years that I can't think of right now cause it's 5:41am.  I appreciate all of the support.

It's been 15 Years, and I'M JUST GETTIN' WARMED UP!  I don't plan on callin' it quits till I'm in my 60s, so we got over 20 more to go.  Buckle up cats and kittens, this ride is gonna go on for awhile!

Skull Mob 5-21

First, October marks the 15 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF TORC PRESS!!!!!!!!!!

WOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We'll yammer more about that tomorrow, I just wanted to get a nice long Woo in before we started this morning.

Second, two new republished pages over on the Patreon site at:  www.patreon.com/torcpress.  It's a great way to support TORC Press, which, again, is 15 years old this month.

Third, here's today's webcomic:

Skull Mob 5 Page 21.

First off, just to make things clear, SOL is not dead.  He was never physically at the battle, since his physical form is still on the Planet Venus.  SOL was always in his FireSoul Form, which has now been mystically disrupted, leaving SOL with no physical presence at the battle.

It was always my idea to have @byss be one of the few warriors left standing after the Vertionce's Atomic Landing.  It was also always my idea to have Vertionce deal with the seemingly indestructible @byss by simply tossing him into space.  It was Boolah's idea to have @byss rocket by the Chupacabra, who is still unconscious and floating listlessly through the vacuum after getting punched really hard by the Vertionce in HFSAC 23.  So, kudos to Boolah on that one.  Is a good gag.

Other than that, poor Sally.

Anyway, that's it for Skull Mob this week, but again, we'll be back on the blog tomorrow hyping our bit 15 Year Anniversary.
