Life in a Flash

Been a bit absent from the Blog.  I need to change that.

I had Family Business to attend to this last week, which prevented me from attending a series of events at the Pique Art Gallery.  I would like to publicly apologize to my friends, Clint Basinger and Lindsey Whittle, for dropping out.  I know it was beyond my control, but I still feel bad about it.

I'm still trying to decide whether I want to try to make it down for a week sometime before the Show closes.  Things are crazy right now.  I'm currently trying to sell my house, and as part of that process, I'm also trying to clean out my house and package up all of my stuff.  My ultimate goal is to move an hour north to Mattoon so that me and my Mei can move in together.  So, I'm in the middle of a whole thing right now.

With all of that going on, I don't wanna drop the ball on TORC Press.  These big, wild crazy comics are part of my DNA at this point, and I don't function right without them for long.  My ultimate goal remains the same, to make a living off of either TORC Press or Comics.  With all of the comics downtime the last few weeks, I've been contemplating what I can do to improve my progress toward that goal.  I've got some ideas.  The question is, can I find the time to begin implementing them.

In the meantime, I'm working hard on wrapping up HFSAC 4 and Cosmic Pulp 3.

So, that's my crazy world.

SUPERNOVA SEQUENTIALS

Right.

In Covington, KY, literally across the river from Cincinnati, OH, is a little storefront.  It's recently been converted into an Art Gallery, and from tonight until mid-October this little upstart Gallery will be hosting Supernova Sequentials.  This will be a show displaying artwork by myself and my Comics Soul Brother, Clint Basinger of Cosmic Moustache Comics.  We both will have the Original Art from some of our comic pages on display, as well as some Poster-sized versions of our work.  On top of that, Clint and his amazing wife Lindsey have crafted a 3-D presentation of our artwork.  It should be pretty cool.  The big draw of the show, though, should be the massive "Mega-Comic" that Clint and I have spent the last month creating.  This is a series of Giant Jam Paintings that tell the story of the TORCverse and Cosmic Moustache Universes uniting to battle the threat of Cacticalactus, who wishes to Cactusify the World!  It's super cool.

The Gallery will have its soft opening tonight, and then tomorrow is the wild Grand Opening.  I'll be there on Friday, and I'm bringing the mass destruction of my Brother Ryan's One Man Death Jazz Band, the Dr. Orphyus Project, with me.  This will be a LIVE ART SHOW, where Bro will be performing live, while I will be creating a brand new Pen & Ink Drawing as he performs.  It should be pretty cool.

Anyway, if you're in the area, stop by and say hi.  Should be a fun experience.

Should probably include the Address:
