"The Horror" Story Arc

The previous issues of "The Hot Fudge Sundae Adventure Club" have been about exploration and adventure. They've been about charging wildly into the impossible unknown with a smile on your face. But "The Horror" story arc in issues 5 & 6 is quite different. In the Horror, things go wrong. Very, very, painfully horribly wrong. Our heroes accidentally stumble into a carefully laid, highly organized trap, and before they can escape, the situation continues to escalate. Ultimately, our heroes find themselves in the clutches of an ancient and powerful demon named Levitone.

Levitone is not just a regular soul eating demon. He's a Soul Gourmet. That means that whenever he consumes a soul, he grows stronger, and, more importantly, larger. By the time our heroes run afoul of this beast, he has consumed THOUSANDS of human souls. As a result, Levitone, a squid demon by the by, has become a massive, gigantic beast.

Levitone holds all the cards. He's a giant monster. He has an army of soulless humans who will gladly slaughter anyone that their master commands of them. He's got the element of surprise, and he already has the Fudgeheads right where he wants them. Things do not look good for the Hot Fudge Sundae Adventure Club.

What happens when your back is against the wall? What happens when it all falls apart? Do you run and hide? Do you surrender? Or do you grit your teeth, plant your feet, and fight back with everything you've got? What will the Fudgeheads do? Who will survive and what will be left of them?
