Happy Halloween! That was redundant.
Anyway, I will be at the Best Darn Comic Shop on the Planet, Comic Quest in Evansville, IN, for their Halloween Bash/Free Comic Book Day the Sequel Thing. Not sure when I'll get there this afternoon, but I'll doing my thing, promoting TORC Press and rocking out.
In the meantime, there's a new page of Pulp Horrorshow: DirTown up for viewing at: http://www.torcpress.com/ph3-2.html. That is all.

Trundling Along
My Convention Season is wrapped up for now. Things will pick back up in January. As of right now, the only show I'm confirmed for is SPACE, still pretty much my favorite show of any given year, in April 2013. I'm gonna start picking up shows for next year soon.
The webcomix continue to roll out on time. Over at "Truth or Consequences Zer0" Octopus Jones, Dr. Dream, and the Chupacabra are...knee deep (ugh) in an ugly fight with a Toxic Muck Monster. The latest page can be viewed at http://www.torcpress.com/torc0-5.html. On Mondays, we've got "SDF" updating. The central conflict has wrapped, but don't worry, things will pick back up soon enough. And on Wednesdays, the newest issue of "Pulp Horrorshow: DirTown" is starting up.
In the meantime, I'm trying to finish up "Clown & Penguin" #2. I've got a long way to go, but the book is slowly coming together.
CQCA Meeting in Evansville, IN today. Trying to decide if I want to stay in town and catch a flick while I'm at it. Eh. Maybe.

Thirteen
In all the swirling craziness and running around and whatnot, I haven't really had time to talk about the Fact that October marks the 13 Year Anniversary of TORC Press. I dunno if 13 is a big deal or not, but it feels like a pretty good chunk of time to me. Anyway, in celebration, here's some Notes and/or Funfacts...
-- TORC Press originally had all of its comics printed on cheap paper at a small copy shop 2 hours away. These comics were originally only given away to friends and family. They were fat and clunky. In 2003, TORC Press had its first comic printed by an actual, professional printer. These books were also kinda fat and clunky, and were completely in Black & White, including the Cover. Since then, TORC Press has went through two additional Print Companies until 2012, when TORC Press acquired a Copy Machine. Now all TORC Press books are Printed In House. Since the process is now much cheaper, TORC Press can now afford to produce a variety of vibrant, full color books. I just think it's funny that I started out printing comics on a copy machine, and now I'm right back where I started.
-- TORC Press has exhibited comics in Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, Minnesota, Texas, and California.
-- With the Publication of "SDF" #2, TORC Press has Published 94 Comix. That means that either in late 2012 or early 2013, TORC Press will publish its 100th Comic. Not bad for a guy that also works full time in a sawmill.
-- The flagship character of TORC Press is Cactus Joe the Clown, who was created in 1997, two years before the publication of the first TORC Press book, "Pulp Horrorshow" (volume 1) #1. It has been, and continues to be, the stated goal of TORC Press to continue to evolve and expand the life and times of The Clown throughout the duration of its existence. In addition to the Clown, we are currently very excited about two of our newer characters, namely, the Death Moth and Octopus Jones.
Anyway, it's been a long, wild ride, and I'm looking forward to the Future. What kinda crazy comix will I create next year, or ten years down the road? Who knows? But I'm excited to find out.

Back in Business
Whoops! I forgot to mention on my Blog that I was heading to APE in California, and then vacationing in Vegas. Anyway, that's what I've been doing.
So, All of us here at TORC Press would like to thank everyone that came out and supported the cause at APE. Hope you enjoyed the Comix.
I had a nice little vacation, but it's good to be home doing what I was built to do. Making Comix. Speaking of which, new page of "Truth or Consequences Zer0" is up for viewing at: http://www.torcpress.com/torc0-4.html.
With APE done, I've got no new Conventions lined up until next year. My current priority, besides keeping up with my Three Online Comix, is to Finish "Clown & Penguin" #2. I also need to finish the Print Edition of "Pulp Horrorshow" vol. 3 #2.
On Monday we'll have a new page of SDF Issue 3. On Wednesday, Pulp Horrorshow v3 Issue 3 will start. And join us a week from today for the next page of Truth or Consequences Zer0.
BOOM!

Nashville Bound
Alrighty, just as soon as I get off work at the Mill, the TORC Press Wagon Train sets Sail (heh, mixed metaphors) for the glorious city of Nashville, TN. I'll be at the Nashville Comic and Horror Fest, doing my thing, October 6-7. Details at http://www.comiccitytn.com/Convention_Listings.html.
Because I'll be gone tomorrow, the next page of Truth or Consequences Zer0 has gone up early. Check out the latest page (which I'm really happy with, by the by) at http://www.torcpress.com/torc0-3.html.
And that's all from me till Monday.
